About Su McGowan

Aspiring to excellence, Su McGowan emigrated from China to Northern California to obtain her master’s degree in media and mass communications with an emphasis on social media marketing. Arriving from Beijing as an international student, she had no local connections, but she overcame that challenge with her ability to understand people and form new relationships.

 

Those fundamental skills serve Su well as a real estate professional, as does her expertise in the increasingly digital realm of real estate marketing. She’s highly capable when it comes to such vital functions as photography and design, advertising, business communication, media production, qualitative and critical research, social psychology, and visual communication.

 

Su says, “I think social media marketing skill is competitive in this industry for expanding clientele. And interpersonal communication is helpful for communicating with clients, agents, contractors, etc. I see understanding others and their needs as a core attribute that will help me succeed.”

 

In her spare time, Su pursues photography as a hobby and enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, backpacking, skiing, and river rafting. She also volunteers weekly at the elementary school in her community and is passionate about helping kids and making friends with their families.
